Life Before the Move

Life has been good for me lately.  Mom and Dad seem to be running around like crazy all of the time, packing boxes, making phone calls and getting together with friends, but I enjoy a life filled with naps, formula, snuggling with the cat, jumping, being admired by all of the people that meet me and practicing EC (elimination communication).  It's been great and I have the smiles to prove it!

The cat and I are great buddies.  You will notice that I let her sleep with me quite often.  It's warmer for both of us and this keeps us on good terms for some of the future schemes I'm cooking up that involve cat hair and a need for claws.

Yes, I love my Johnny Jump Up!  It is the best child's play thing ever invented.  Put me in this puppy and I'm happy for hours.  Mom doesn't want you to know that she is exploiting this to the extreme while she packs.

This is fairly typical.  I am SO good at this jumping business that I attract a rapt audience that just can't stop staring.  I'm considering fees, which would plump up my college fund nicely the way things are shaking down.

Here I am during one of my first EC (elimination communication) experiences.  There I was minding my own business and suddenly they take my clothes off and put me on this cold, hard thing and start making noises.  What's a boy to think?

I wasn't too sure about this whole EC thing at first, but mom and dad get so excited when I go potty on the toilet you would think they just got a big flat screen TV or something.  I'm liking it pretty well now.  I go #2 on the toilet most of the time and I have to say I'm enjoying life in dry diapers.

So I've been hearing about this moment for weeks now, but nothing can quite prepare you for it. Yes, this is my first time trying solid foods. No, I did not like it very much. Talk about an uncoordinated mess! And what in the world were Mom and Dad laughing about the whole time? Please, just give me some similac.

My first time eating solid foods and they give me this gook: mushy, luke warm rice cereal. Can you blame me for not liking it?! A word of advice for you new parents out there: start with some ice cream or something!  We took a break on the solids after this fiasco - whew!

Aunt Alex and I have a good laugh during her last visit before the move.  She's so funny!  She gave me these singing dolls that are hilarious.  I'm currently trying to mimic their songs.  I just discovered singing/screaming and I must say my screams have become impressive lately, just ask Mom and Dad.

I love it when Grandma holds me.  She's teaching me how to give kisses.  I love getting them, so why not try to give them too.  I gave Mommy one the other night - she just about melted.

Here I am having a chat with Great Grandpa.  He and I get along famously.  We both like sports and good food (that Similac is AMAZING), what more could we need to bond over.  Mom took this picture during my last visit to the property before the move.

Oh no!  They caught me.  Yes, guilty as charged, I am a thumb sucker.  I thought I had been hiding it so well, only doing it when they thought I was sleeping or when their backs are turned.  I just can't stop myself, the flavors are so good - today it's chocolate chip mint.

Mommy loves this coat - she thinks I'm super cute.  I think it's ridiculous.  Who wants to go out in public with puppy ears on their head.  I do it just to keep her happy.

This is my favorite toy.  I could chew on it all day, which I practically do.  Once again Mommy is exploiting the fact that I am starting to entertain myself.  I'm getting fed up with that, an overthrow is imminent.

Like I said, an overthrow is imminent.  Yes, I am coming up with diabolical plans left and right.
