Hangin' At Home

Isaiah is growing every day.  It's amazing to watch him change and fill out.  His eyelashes have really come in and he's starting to get eyebrows.  His face looks rounder every day and he is starting to get longer.  Everyone says they grow fast, but I had no idea it would seem so exponential.  Here are some of our favorite pictures from the last week.
This blanket keeps me warm AND it tastes good too.
Snuggling with daddy is one of my favorite pastimes.
Hailey and Skye decided to keep watch tonight.
I already love reading.  These bugs are amazing!
I am surrounded.  Mommy is reading to me and they have me laying in some sort of jungle gym.  When will they let me  sleep?
Skye is checking out my vantage point.  I love the view from this table!
An almost smile.  I'm working on it.
I love it when mommy carries me around.  She likes it too, obviously.
I am wearing the most adorable hat ever.  I went out in this hat and everyone thought I was the bees knees.
Hailey is checking to make sure daddy feeds me just right.
Who knew the blog could be such hard work?  At least I get to sleep through it.
Look at that little hand.  Wow!  God is amazing!
Nap time.  Oh those late nights.

Isaiah's Baptism

Isaiah's baptism was a very important day for Mom, Dad and Isaiah.  It is a ceremony during which we, as parents, commit to faithfully bring Isaiah up to know Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior.  It is also the day on which the Holy Spirit enters Isaiah and brings him to faith in Christ.  Isaiah was baptized in a christening gown that was made my Lindsey's great great great grandmother in 1887.  My great grandfather, grandmother, mother, myself and now Isaiah have been baptized in this gown.

Reading the liturgy for baptism.  The whole congregation participates in promising to watch over and shepherd Isaiah in his walk with God.
Being baptized in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.  Mom and Dad were crying with joy.
Wiping the water from his head.
Praying for Isaiah and his walk with the Lord.
After the service we paused for some pictures.
Isaiah's cake - yumm!
Close up - so cute!!!
Here we have some of the people who were at Isaiah's baptism.  Look at all of the people who wanted to hold him!

First Bath - Eek!!!

It begins. He has no idea what's coming.
Teamwork - who's doing all the work?
Ah Mom, do we really have to wash my hair?
Squeaky Clean
Help!  Mom has the lotion.
All done and happy to be wrapped up.

Out and About

Here are pictures of some of our adventures out in the big, wide world.
Isaiah's first visit to church.  He was amazing!  He slept through the entire service and was held by most of the high school youth afterwards.
Isaiah gets to meet author/illustrator Jan Brett.  It was a wonderful event!
Isaiah is all wrapped up.
First slide trip with mom.
Zack had fun at the Red Flyer slide too!
