Hello again! Half of a year has passed since our last post, but after Lindsey starting part time at Aunties bookstore again, totally reorganizing the last 10 years' worth of our photos, Isaiah starting preschool, Disneyland and other summer trips, and, oh yeah, we moved back to Spokane, things are FINALLY settled!
Isaiah continues to cultivate his love of all things boy. Army men, knights, pirates, construction equipment, and reading are all sure bets. Recent interests include Legos and Star Wars (thank you cousin Zack!). Isaiah is now impressing the neighbors (and us!) with his skills on a scooter. He is now in preschool two days a week, which he absolutely loves and has been a great experience. Isaiah's vocabulary continues to increase and he is beginning to count. It has been amazing watching him grow into a boy.
Picking up where we left off these photos are from late summer and fall of 2013. So without further ado, here are some pictures to catch you all up on Isaiah's adventures.
Isaiah's first s'more. Who doesn't love hot, melting balls of sugar straight from the fire, wrapped in chocolate and graham cracker goodness? Isaiah apparently. He took one bite and said "Daddy, you can finish it." Thankfully he has grown wiser with age. |
Discovering crabs at the Edmonds waterfront. Isaiah's first foray into science. "Why is this shell empty?" |
Taking a break with great grandpa Bob. I'll consider taking up golf if the ball is chocolate and I can eat it. Oh, and if I can always run around and play in my socks. |
The Michelsen clan all in one place. |
Yes, I do climb mountains, all of the time actually. You should try it too. Great exercise. |
Fun times with the Kooles in Glacier National Park. |
Family photo ops happen way too much these days. If only I could talk them into taking pictures of the scenery or the bear that just ran behind us. |
Mountain lakes are so refreshing! Shockingly cold, if nothing else. Being a living furnace, I quite enjoyed my bare to the bum swim in this Grand Teton lake.
Aunt Lacey and Uncle Danny joined for a fun, fun, fun trip to Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons. We played in the dirt, hiked a bunch and I got to ride on everyones shoulders. I love my family!

Look at all these vegetables - YUCK! Mom and dad were so excited, but all I could think was “Why did we waste so much garden space on tomatoes? Next year the whole thing needs to be strawberries.”
I’m adorable, what more can I say?
Mom and dad grabbed me and made me hold still for 5 seconds so we could have a birthday photo. Pictures are so overrated, especially when there are new toys to be played with!
Uncle Dan came and stayed for about three weeks. It was great! He hung out with us and saw some of our favorite spots in Montana. Mommy also said something about Uncle Dan joining a gang, but I’m not sure what she’s talking about?
I got to stay up really late! These are the coolest pumpkins we’ve ever carved. I’m going to push for complicated pumpkins every year. If they don’t notice I might be up till 11. You never know.
MMMMM. Cupcakes after one of Zach’s soccer games. I’ve got to talk mom and dad into driving to Seattle more often.
More pictures at Swansons, doesn’t this family ever get enough?
I am a fireman for halloween and yes, I am the awesomest fireman ever! Grandma and grandpa came to get some candy too.
Once again I was asked to smile while sitting on some strange man's lap. This guy shows up once a year and looks strangely like the man in some of my Christmas books. He's a little too jolly in person, if you know what I mean. |
